The day arrived and with it hustle and bustle as the final details were put in place.
A big, white tent was set up complete with a wooden alter at the front. Tables were placed in the front yard. Flowerbeds were perfectly manicured and hanging flower baskets graced the front porch. Napkins were wrapped with twine and little name tags. Cooks bustled around preparing the pulled pork, homemade rolls, and gallons of meadow tea. Vases overflowing with peonies were ready to be placed on the tables. Kath’s friends put the final touches on the bridal table. Tea lights placed inside mason jars hung from the wooden pergolas. Nieces and nephews dressed in their best waited for the day to start.

Matt and Kath planned a “first look.” And their hearts seemed to over flow with tenderness for each other.
So was their day. Easy laughter, tight hugs, heartfelt congratulations, croquet games, and barefoot children.
I thoroughly enjoyed capturing the beauty and joy in Matt and Kath’s day.
See their slide show here.
Thanks to Larry from Weaver Images for working with me and capturing great images.
Thank-you Matt and Kath for allowing me to be part of your day. Blessings to you.
The first look allowed plenty of time for photos at the very beginning of the day.

I love when I can capture totally candid moments like this…

The flowers were so pretty…peonies in white and all shades of pink.

Backyard games of croquet took place while Matt and Kath greeted guests after the ceremony.

Handmade, delicious details at the reception…

The wedding cake displayed on the front porch…

Arch and doors leading into the white tent…

So many lovely little details….

And we grabbed a few more photos as the sun was setting and the festivities were winding down.
The light was getting low, but I love the soft feel to these images….
