Tis the season for seniors and I love’em all…

Meet adorable Keziah….

She likes to laugh. And smile. At little things. This is good.

Down time? Curled up in a blanket. Reading a romantic book. Texting friends. Listening to music. Taking pictures.

She rocks at softball. Loves working out at the gym.

She would die without her phone. Or at least feel quite lost.

After graduation she will be attending college and working towards becoming a physical therapist assistant.

This is Keziah! =)

It was a warm day with a steady rain pitter-patting down.

The grounds were perfectly manicured with abundant flowerbeds, potted plants, and a trim vegetable garden. The tents were set up in the backyard. The in-ground pool danced with the rain drops and the yellow sunflowers floating on top.

The house bustled with activity as family prepared the last minute details and friends started arriving.

She helped her bridesmaids apply makeup, opted to let her hair fall in soft waves instead of pinning up, and slipped into her gold shoes…relaxed and happy.

It was an honor to be part of Ben & Falan’s day! Backyard with lots of good detail is one of my favorite kinds of weddings.

The rain stopped stopped for a break giving us the opportunity to get Falan and Ben’s photos in the backyard.

The day included so many soft, vintage, carefully planned details.

And because they made me promise to put this up on the blog! Ha. A photo speaks a thousand words, right? =)

Their wedding day seemed to be so them….reveling in the simple pleasures of family, friends, and good times together.

And country beauty at it’s finest.

Jennie seemed to love every moment of her day…laughing and loving the festivity.

All the girls changed into boots for the reception…after all, dancing is tough in heels.

These guys were so fun to work with…

Laura says, “Dan is my best friend and love of my life. He is strong, caring, a great leader…and I think really funny. He always makes me smile and somehow, makes me a better person. He is an amzing man that I never want to be without. What can I say…I think he is incredible!”

Dan says, “Laura is awesome. She is carefree, easy-going, likes to have fun, and loves God. She helps me let loose and go a little crazy. I love her goofy personlaity.

She is strong willed and independent. And I love her eyes. =)”

They both plan on pursuing their education…Laura in Occupational Therapy and Dan in Counseling/Clinical Psychology.

They are planning their big day for August. Unfortunately I was not able to be part of their day. =( I know it will be a beautiful day.

“Dancing is everything to me. Without it, I would be lost”.

After graduation, Lauren plans on attending college and continuing dancing while studying to be a speech pathologist.

Lauren seems kind, gentle, and devoted….willing to put in the hard work for future goals….not easily distracted.

She wanted an earthy feel to her shoot. A thunderstorm was dumping rain as we arrived, but thankfully soon left up giving us soft light.

Love the vibrant colors, magnificent structures, heavy textures, diversity of faces and life styles, the fast paced vibe, and almost a rawness that is found in a location with so many, many people.

It’s fascinating.

Someday I am going to take a day, go to the big city, and watch. Just watch people. Maybe read on a bench. And eat at one of the little cafes. Sip on coffee.

Someday. =)

Spent the day with the good gals Kelly and Nicola!

It was a wet day. Rained and rained. But you know what….wet days in the city are fun.

We had a purpose for going….other than taking in the sights and sounds. A flash class at Adorama.

Pizza from a tiny pizza shop was a perfect dinner. Some of the best broccoli pizza ever.  I learned all about flash. And I finally invested in a case big enough for all my gear.

It was a good day.

The day took place on the groom’s horse farm….gorgeous and perfect for the wedding.

The feel of the day?

Backyard, laid back, go with the flow, families, barbecued chicken and grilled veggies, swimming for the kiddos, tubs filled with ice and drinks, cowboy hats, and a good time for all.

The farm provided so many good details to capture…

This was the first time I had my man, Andrew assisting me on a wedding day.=)

Joanna’s wedding day shoes…

Joanna seriously seems to have a heart of gold…loved working with her.

The ceremony took place on the front yard.

Love colorful details. The guys played pool as they waited for the ceremony to start.

A guy, guy. If you know what I mean.

The red jeep is his beater vehicle…as in drive in the meadow and through the creek.

Something I like about this photo…it seems to “fit” Jaden. Taken on the home farm…

Let me share a few of Jaden.

She has style and knows how to wear it. Elegant. A little sassy…in a good way. Dainty. Chic. All wrapped up in a luxurious bow.

Satisfied with the normal and boring? No way. I love this in brides.

She arrived in a limo with her girls, flip-flops, and her pink bride bag.

He had a little love note stuck to the mirror in her dressing room waiting for her arrival….and the day was off.

So very many gorgeous aspects to the day.
